Erin Wingo is the newest associate to join The Law Offices of Tanya D. Jeffords & Associates. Ms. Wingo earned her undergraduate degree from Clemson University with a major in Political Science and minor in Legal Studies. She is a 2022 graduate of Mercer University, Walter F. George School of Law where she was a member of the Association of Women Law Students and the Client Counseling Team. She was a Regional Finalist in the 2021 Client Counseling Competition which shows in her ability to listen, understand, and counsel prospective clients and current clients with compassion. Ms. Wingo was also awarded the Outstanding Solicitor Award for her achievements in Client Counseling.

Ms. Wingo has a passion for Christ and the Constitution and wanted to learn more about how both can be applied to help people and to better society within the legal field. While in her third year of law school, Ms. Wingo joined The Law Offices of Tanya D. Jeffords & Associates, P.C. as a law clerk, and moved into a full time Associate position in the summer of 2022. She is licensed to practice law in Georgia and South Carolina. Ms. Wingo is a trial attorney and practices in the areas of Criminal Defense, Civil Rights Violations, and Post Conviction Relief cases. She has experience in civil litigation with Title IX and Sexual Assault/Harassment claims, and Temporary Restraining Orders (TPO).

Having a passion to serve and help people within the legal system, along with Mrs. Jeffords, Ms. Wingo represents clients in the Felony Adult Drug Courts for both Columbia and Richmond counties, where those suffering from substance abuse are offered the opportunity to engage in treatment with increased accountability to the court as an alternative to incarceration. Ms. Wingo has an invaluable understanding of the legal process and its effects on clients, which fuels her passion for helping others through difficult times in their lives.

She is a member of the Georgia Bar Association’s Young Lawyers’ Division. She graduated from the Georgia Bar Leadership Academy in 2024 where she engaged with members of the political, legal, and judicial community throughout Georgia and participated in service projects monthly. She is a member of the Augusta Bar Association and volunteers with Dream Builders of America’s Youth Incorporated. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, her dog, boating, and listening to podcasts.
